My name is Brian, and I live in Columbus, OH. My best friend and climbing partner moved to Lake Tahoe last year and I need to find someone else to climb/camp/cave with. I have a basic rack (stoppers, hexes, a few friends, biners, etc.) and a 60 meter rope. I've done most of my climbing in VA, MD, and WV. I love trad, but sport is okay, too. PLEASE HELP ME!! Thanks.

There are lots of climbers in Columbus. Talk to them (start with going to the gym)

I feel for you man, I'm stuck in Columbus also!
I'm set right now for partners (I can't get out that much anyway) but you should check out Vertical Adventures (if you can stomach the gym scene), you might be able to hook up with partners there.

The Red is O.K. but the rock quality at the NRG is so much better, there really is no comparison! And the crowds at RRG can really get on my nerves! At the New there is always someplace to get away from the masses. And they are both about 4 hrs. away.

Call up your best friend in Tahoe and ask if she has a room to spare. You can look for work once you arrive.

You won't regret it... well, probably not anyway.

I'm game, if you can tolerte my learning curve. Been chasing peaks in the rockies for a few years now. I'm just now getting into the vertical stuff, as a means to attain summits. I'm just now learning about the gear, I'll need to be taught some things.
