I see you're from TN.
Definatly check out Harrison Schulls' "Southeastern Rock".
No so much a "how to" as far as shooting, but some great photos that might be good for inspiration.

Jeff Achey (from Climbing Magazine) has a book called "Guide to Climbing Photography" published by Stackpole Books.

This is a how-to book, rather than a coffee table book.

You could ask your local independent bookseller to order you a copy. It will cost more than ordering it online but you are supporting a local business.

There is not alot of difference in taking pics of climbing, and just takin pics of othere stuff other than subject.

I have Achey's book, and it is good.
And I have done lots of research online and found good stuff.
This is a pretty good site

So my suggestion would be not to focus soley on "Climbing Photography" books, and just photography books in general.

This is an excellent book for a begining/moderate photographer. atleast it help me a good bit.

You are now probably going to go search my photos now to see if I know what I am talking about or not, but I don't put my good ones on this site.

portrait+nature+sport=climbing photography... study these three subjects and you will know everything there is, as far as book learning goes.... situational experience is the battle...

If your into a lot of psycho mumbo jumbo and well written essays about seemingly nothing to to with photography till perhaps a page into the story Galens books are entertaining. If your not than just stick with his more photo oriented books which are spectacular (obviously).

His book "Inner Game of Outdoor Photography" is a book compilation of his essays in OP. Its a good book but it's not about climbing per se. and it's not about technical issues per se. Even in one article he notes how someone wrote him a letter asking him to cut the guru routine and just give them the the anwers to making good photos.

In reading that book I realized for the first time that I might not be so weird after all. It turns out that I have the same freakish wish (well not with one wish but if I had about 3 wishes). To get into my dogs head in see what he sees and think what he thinks. Now if I could only have to creativity with the camera or the rope the Galen did i'd be headed somewhere.
