I come from North Wales and live on a farm not too far from Snowdonia.
The nearest village is Llansannan and is a welsh speaking(like me) crazy place, there are two pubs the Red Lion, this is the best pub and the landlord is a welsh speaker from the village, a very good man and will give you a good welcome. The other is Saracens and is run by a Manc, not so good but ok
