Climbing since 1980 when I went to a Colorado Outward Bound course. Being a North County native, I spent a lot of time at Dixon Lake putting up climbs, Mt. Woodson trying to get better, J-Tree, Suicide, Taquitz, Garner Valley, Valley of the Moon, any place that had rock. I'm more into mountaineering than technical climbing now, and at least once a year I take a trip to some "big" mountains... Eastern Sierra, Cascades, Mexican volcanoes. But I still love climbing. I get out and boulder when I can, or rope up for a sport climb or a multi pitch trad climb. It's all good.
