More Info:
My life has always been pleasant, thoughtful, happy, and quiet for all my years. Then in the summer of 2002, my shallow world was blown to pieces when this guy took me climbing. The dude is psychotic. He eats, drinks, sleeps, and lives climbing. After months of hearing about it, I had to try it out, so I borrowed a book or two (which I still have) and studied, and then took it to the rocks for my first climb. He, of course, wanted to get his first lead climb under his belt, so he hooked me up to belay him for my first time belaying ever. He claims that this is rather stupid, so he obviously doesn't know me that well. You can see that I must have done a good job, as both of us are still around. After his lead, I followed for my first climb and also first flashed route, the 5.10 route #3 on the Lower Garden of the Gods at Fair Angel Creek.

Since then we have tried to climb every chance we get, which isn't all that much because of vehicle limitations, and the fact that I have no gear. Hopefully next summer we'll have at least one vehicle to carry us up the mountain, and it will most likely be mine.

Besides climbing, my time and money go to my truck, a 1977 F250 that is slowly working its way to restoration, and my other favorite sport, which involves a Silence 163 with Bent Metal bindings, K2 boots, and perfect slopes of powder, which are fairly plentiful here in Alaska, the largest state in the US.
