More Info:
I have been climbing for over a year and a half and I have climbed a lot of the classis in the Valley and J Tree thus far. I began learning on the local crag (Bishops Peak) and have since then climbed most of the routes on it. I prefer trad and have lead up to 5.10 so far.....with hopes of Serenity Crack in the future! I also sport climb when I can and boulder a bit on the side as well. I have done a little alpine stuff but my vision is set on El Cap right now as I begin to hone my aid technique.....and rack when the budget permits. I am currently a student at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo (hence the lack of funds) and I am highly involved with the on campus outdoor program Poly Escapes during my free time. As a volunteer I lead trips for other students to local climbing destinations as well as far off ones during the weekend and occasionally I lead other trips like backpacking, surfing or mountaineering. I try to be outside doing something as much as possible when it doesn't get in the way of school work....but as Mark Twain said, "Don't let school get in the way of your education!"
