I grew up in Iowa which is, geologically speaking, pretty much a ping pong table (stand on a phone book, you get a view). I was first introduced to technical rock climbing by a Rock & Roll rigger (long story) and immediately was hooked. I played tag-along until about '83 when I broke down and bought my own rope.
