Began climbing in 1997. I have some altitude experience, not really noteworthy in comparison... but I had loads of fun: Kilimanjaro, Mt. Kenya, Mt. Meru, Mt. Elgon, Mt. Stanley - all in Africa. Fell in love with Africa when I was in Zaire (Rep of Congo now). Would like to get into mountaineering. There's almost nothing quite like experiencing yourself at altitude and in the 3rd world and there's something about climbing that sorts ya right out! Rock: Sport climbing mostly. Want to learn trad (I'm a good second). I love being outside, hiking, playing in the rain... and lots of adventure travel. I like to surround myself with true-blue inspiring spirits! There's peace in high places and honest faces.
