More Info:
I am 17 and somewhat new to rock and ice climbing but I've been in the mountains most of my life. I'm from mass but I'm living in French Gulch buttfuck nowhere far nor cal at the moment going to boarding school... not one of those traditional living in dorms going to school in a suit and tie getting taught by professors shit but more like one of those schools where the hippy parents have a community garden, you call your teachers in their mid 20's by their first names and you can major in snowboarding and international travel... not that I come from a wealthy family or anything; I just got a lucky opportunity... it's a long story. Anyway, I come from a tradition of ice and rock climbers in the family and I just started to learn how to rock climb at the school. I've been ice climbing on the east coast about half a dozen times around norther NH. Just saw the Banff Film Festival and Ueli Steck made me shit my pants. Now my ultimate goal with climbing is to climb the Matterhorn. I don't have much in the way of gear or experience but I'm looking for both and I'm a quick learner, fit, and very athletic. I'm willing to work hard and endure much suffering for very little in return; so I figured climbing made sense. I read Freedom of the Hills almost daily and am becoming quite passionate about committing my life to climbing. This summer I'm planing on heading down to Nicaragua with my older brother to surf, drink Tecate on a beach, live on less than a dollar a day, and hopefully do some climbing. I'm looking for partners and and willing to carry my weight in whatever way I can. Cheers
