The obsession began a bit over eight years ago when a friend was into climbing. He left for the other side of the world and i was left to my own devices. More than a few homemade machine nut stoppers and sketchy repelling instances later i now figure I’m at least competent.
<p>Trad is my love, spicy trad when i can get a partner. Still working up the grades and lovin’ it, though I’m often stuck with my silent partner, so if anyone is ever looking for a partner in Acadia National Park or the Valley (when i can make the pilgrimage).... One summer as resident Camp 4 bum sealed my fate as a slave to the lifestyle and now living in the Valley is pretty much all i think about. Plus the best people in the world all hang out there, most of ‘em pretty badass climbers as well. Soloed my first big wall ever there and can’t wait to get back and do El Cap... and some highlines. Everyone here thinks I’m crazy to walk a tightrope, and big ones are hard to come by.

I can be a contact for Acadia or the rest of Maine for sure as i know the climbing througout the state pretty well. On occasion i can actually go out climbing - or give a quick tour of the area (Acadia). If you are in Acadia during the summer i am very busy but am always up for Q&A, giving directions to less crowded spots (after two days here in july you will want those) and occasionally providing a floor or other help. Anything i can help with give a holler and i will see if i can accomodate that.
