Hey there!
Quebecfly is my name... Why, 'cuz I fly high! ;-)
I'm just a normal guy, born in 1973 (do the math) in Montreal who had the most wonderful gift a man can have in 1996, the love of my life, my little princess: my daughter.
Blue eyes, blond hair (both of us ;-)) as a kid, I was always climbing everything I could climb! But that's not when I started...
In 1986, after many years I was able to convince my mom to enroll me in a martial arts class, that's when one of my dreams started to take form, I wanted to be a Black Belt!
Since then, I've reached a few goals, I'm now a 3rd degree black belt in Jiu-Jitsu and Taekwondo and I hold my 1st degree black belt in Judo.
I will always continue praticing these arts, it runs in my veins!
I tried indoor climbing for the first time out of curiosity, it was in 1992 or something? It was only in the summer of 2000 that I tried it outdoors, on the "Chico" in Val David as I organized a little group of people and we took what would become my introduction to Rock Climbing.
I loved it!
Eearly spring 2001 I decided to take it further and take another course and practice indoor climbing until we can hit the rocks outside!
I then met a person who quickly became a friend, very close friend, like a brother to me, he's on this site also (eco_phil). His patience, devotion, true heart and great personality quickly made me realize that I had met someone special who would earn a very special place in my heart!
My new best friend then became my new roommate and now we do ALMOST everything together! Snowboard, games, talk, laugh, watch movies and of course, CLIMB!!!
He also presented me the most amazing woman I had ever met! Audrey was a friend of his that was also starting Rock Climbing, she also became very close to me, to my heart and to my soul! She became more then a friend and will always hold this special place in my heart. We also hang around a lot. She amazes me with the simplest things and is the only thing that will make me fly higher then the mountains!
Just thinking of these 3 most important people of my life is enough to instantly bring a smile to my face, I love them all very much!
For many reasons, 2001 was one of the most wonderful year of my life and wanted to share this with you!
So I have a lifetime experience in climbing but seriously started rock climbing in 2001 (but I'm a fast learner).
I already started lead climbing (sport) and was on the rock all summer long...
Been to Val-David, Ste-Agathe-Des-Monts and St-André-de-Kamouraska, all in Québec and also climb indoors at the Cegep André-Laurendeau (where it all started), at Allez-up and also Horizon Roc sometimes...
I always want to meet new people and have fun. We take it seriously when it comes to security (my little daugther is almost always there), but we also like to improve not only our climbing skills but also grow and learn through the practice of this sport. Reach our goals, take it a step further... a step higher!
I work in the IS/IT (computers) industry in a big firm called CGI (http://www.cgi.ca) as an analyst.
My heart has only places for 2 people right now, the first is obviously my daughter and the other one knows who she is ;-).
Of course there's always that other part of my heart that has room for friends, very close friends, the there's 2 people that share a special place in my heart and I love them very much!
Other then Martial Arts and Rock Climbing, I also enjoy movies, restaurants, badminton, tennis, hockey, camping and hiking and my new winter passion snowboarding!

My roommate (and climbing partner), my daugther and myself live about 10 minutes away from the Montreal Airport in Dorval (YUL).
We are friendly French and English speaking buddies who climb for fun, satisfaction and for the love of it!
Montreal is about 50 minutes away from where Rock Climbing was born in Quebec: VAL DAVID.
We can also be in Kamouraska in about 4.5 hours, long trip but oh so worth it!
We can accomodate honest and friendly climbers and are always willing to go climbing and show them where we "play"!
We live in an appartment right next to a beautiful little lake in a city called Lachine.
