I started climbing in 1968 or so, at Indian Rock, Berkeley. I still have the goldline rope and some steel carabiners. Recently, climbing regularly the last 3+ years. Currently lead 5.9 trad, tho have done harder. Am solid with gear, anchors, moving in the backcountry.
I look at climbing as dancing on a steep and varied surface, and count a sunset from the summit as one of lifes best highs.
Looking for partners, I've had good results posting on craigslist. Favor low planning trips, self employed, so I can take some weekdays. The typical would be drive to sierra Fri night, bandit camp, climb Sat, Sun, maybe Mon, return late. I'm 51 yrs, fit, low key, safe, like to go for it within reason. I appreciate learning from stronger climbers, and have had great trips with less experienced partners.
My favorite gear is blue alien, I've howled with laughter at some RC threads- thanks youall
