Review 5 out of 5 stars

Review by: bellatoris, 2004-05-23

Best shoe ever. Initially very painful, it eventually fit my foot perfect. I sent ALL of my hardest routes ever in them. Perfect on steep stuff, they were also amazing on thin vertical rock where good feet are essential.

Best shoe I've ever owned. Pretty much every climb I do consists of a overhang, and these are the best thing that's ever happened to overhangs. These fit so good and snug, it sucks to compare them to other shoes cause other shoes feel like crap. Once you climb overhangs with these, and then try your old shoes, you'll feel like the climb is a difficulty grade harder. These things rock, and I'll prolly buy another pair for the gym, and one for outside. I probably wouldn't recommend for beginners.

Stellar on steep rock or tricky overhaning boulder problems. They suck big time on slab, don't bother even trying to use them! They make a great second pair of shoes. I own a pair of anasazi velcros and a pair of V10's. I use the velcros for all around warm ups, easy stuff, and slabby climbs. I bust out the V10's for the steep and the hard bouldering. Super sticky and will edge on anything. Unlike any other shoe I've owned, but they are very painfull. Be sure to upside at least 1/2 size above your anazasi's

A very aggresive shoe. To really get the performance out of these shoes you need to get them TIGHT. Rubber does wear out quickly. As everyone says, great for bouldering or steep overhanging. The downward shaping toe is great for toe hooking and hanging on to micro edges. However you really cannot smear very well. I will wear this shoe on any overhanging route, but would rather go barefoot then climb with these on anything more than 100 feet (did I mention they are tight?).

This is potentially one of the best shoe designs out there if you are in the market for an agressive slipper. The rubber does wear quickly, but it will stick to ANYTHING! The only downside is that it comes with 5.10's shoddy construction and poor attention to detail. Aside from that, I will definitely own another pair when these wear out.
