I like it, the slopers are alot better then the training board at the gym I work at.

i found the board was a challenge. on bigger boards i found myself using only the holds that were...well easy. this board forced me to use smaller holds that i had a harder time on. i followed the 10min exercise that metolius provides and in weeks notice a difference in my climbing [stamina and strength]. the board is good but i agree with mack $15 more and you can get a better variety of holds.

FYI: The standard I'm holding this board up to is that of the Metolius simulator. So the Simulator being a 5, the slim gym gets a 4.

This little board is great because of it's small size. Smaller size equals higher S.A.F. (spouse approval factor) I was even granted permission to hang mine in the kitchen, not banished to the garage like my campus board.

as for a workout, I was pleasantly shocked at the difficulty of the workout regimen that comes with the slim gym. I had worked myself up to the "harder" workout on the simulator and the slim gym's 10 minute routine is every bit as difficult in my opinion.

The slopers are excellent, the best round slopers I've used. The one thing that worried me was the presence of only one edge, of about "medium" depth. I have found the lack of "edge" variety to be a moot point though because of the emphasis on the 2 and 3 finger pockets. The 2 finger pockets are plenty deep, but the 3 finger pockets are much shallower than anything on the simulator, allowing for a pretty damn good workout.

When you buy this hangboard you have to relise that you are buying the Slim Gym. It does not offer tons of pockets, nor does it have tons of varitability. What is does have is a slim profile that fits anywere. I've hung this in 3 diffrent apartments now and it fit well in every one of them. If your looking for a hangboard on a budget, and don't have tone of space this is the board for you.

I just got this a few days ago and it seems fairly nice for the money. I was on a budget and short on space so it seemed like a good choice. For the most part i would reccomend it.
