great, balanced swing. light. unlike the first review, mine have a rubber grip. i think they added that the second year. i wear XL gloves and haven't had a problem with the pinky grip being too tight at all with my BD Predator gloves. they're kind of thin, but padded on the knuckles. maybe the padding helps with comfort. i added, and highly recommend buying and adding the triggers. they really help with swing control and reduce over-gripping. the large, positive pinky rest and trigger were the reasons i switched from DMM Rebels. i haven't noticed any snow sticking to the carbon fiber shaft, but snow out here is pretty dry.

you get what you pay for. the bend in the shaft is almost non-existent. the grip is too fat, even for my hands, and I wear XL gloves. i cut the foam grip off, covered the handle with grip tape, and welded a pinky hook onto the spike. they're a lot better now, but I only use one as a third tool these days.

yup, they're that good! mine fit true to size and took 2 hikes to break in, 10 miles total. started getting hot spots on my heels @ the end of each hike. after that, no problems. great on approach, rock, steep ice, descent, and they're chick magnets at the bar. these are the best boots i've ever climbed in. spent the extra cash and let your feet feel good about it.

i bought a pair of these a few years ago. they fit true to size, but narrow. this causes the arches of my feet to cramp when on approach. that aside, i've used em in 0 degree weather without my feet getting cold, and they're obviously stiff enough that they climb vertical ice well. i used to think they were pretty great, but after switching to la sportiva nepal extreme evo's recently, i would recommend that, unless you need a plastic boot for warmth or the multi-day dry factor, give a good single leather boot some consideration.
