Fish sell these packs on ebay every once in a while. I think I bought mine for $40. Whether you are top roping, sport or Trad this is a great day pack. It should fit the gear you need plus a lunch. If it doesn't fit inside rigging to the outside of pack is easy enough. Very durable Heavy duty design. Mesh bag for shoes, chalk bag or whatever else is a major plus. The only things I can think of that I would like to see on it is a hydration pouch, bigger side mesh bags, and a removable compartment separator for inside the pack.

I owned various high-top designs such as La Sportiva Kaukulators and Megas. This pair of JBs I’ve had for the past couple of months now and have used them at a few local gyms several times a week. I was going to wait until I tried them outside to submit a review, but their performance indoors has been outstanding! This shoe is designed differently then any other type or climbing shoe I have seen. I would describe it as a hybrid technical shoe. The rubber has excellent grip and great coverage over entire shoe.. It performs well smearing, hooking, and edging on both sides of shoe. A toe in is very stable in a two finger pocket and is actually fairly comfortable. I did have to go up a full size to get the fit I prefer for all day comfort, but this might be different based on preference and toe shape/size. Slipping you foot into this shoe curls your big toe downward. This took me a little time for me to really get used too, but now I can climb fairly consistently 3 grades higher then before purchasing my JBs. It is a very versatile shoe so far with the added bonus of ankle protection. Thanks John Bacher this is the shoe I have been waiting for a long time. I can’t wait to try them on some real rock.

A comfortable, all day shoe. I found them difficult to stick on small sloper footholds compared to other shoes I have owned. Edges pretty well. Rand was a little too thin in one spot and wore through quickly (4 months). But worth having resoled. It is no longer being manufactured and thus difficult to find. Paid $59 for them while on cleareance at the La Sportiva website.
