I bought these shoes as my first pair for climbing. After trying on about 10 pairs, I decided to go with the Gambits. As previously mentioned, these are the only 5.10s I tried on that actually fit well and felt molded to my feet. The sizing is true to your shoe size. I thought the rubber could be a little more sticky, when comparing them to the Evolv Bandits, but overall still pretty sticky. The toes are pointed enough for small holds and getting into cracks pretty easily. These are a very comfortable shoe where you don't have to keep taking them off after every climb. AS for ventilation, I would say they're pretty good as well, but the lacing system could be better,
