Easily the best rock shoe's I've owned. I heard they would not stretch, but after first worrying I bought them a half-size too small, over four days of climbing they conformed to my foot's shape. They are the most sensitive, best fitting, and, aside from an ultimately blown toe rand, most durable shoes I've had. I just ordered a second pair with a "super toe rand" to correct this problem, although it has apparently not bothered others. For technical climbing, they are awesome!

Best trad shoes 5 out of 5 stars

It's true what they say about small cracks... they hurt. So would these shoes if they didn't have the rounded toe that makes them comfortable after five pitches of jamming. The price is high, but it is worth it for these durable shoes that have made me, a narrow footed man, happy on granite for 2 years now.

I got these shoes for free when they were returned to REI for mismatched sizes, and was amazed at their quality. Even oversized and used, they overtook my Anasazi Velcros as my primary sport and boulder shoe. Highly, highly recommended! If it weren't for Evolv, I'd give them 5 stars (and be on my second pair.)

Pricey 4 out of 5 stars

These shoes are great, but they are almost twice the price of Evolvs that are equally great. In my opinion, they should only be considered if you are focused on difficulty climbing. Most weekend warriors would do better to look elsewhere.

I bought these for bouldering, but looking back it would have been a better idea to use them indoors only. Yes, their value is good, and for the purpouses of bouldering performed well for 6 months, when both toes blew. You wont find better shoes for 70 bucks. However, you will find MUCH better shoes for 80. Why buy 6-month shoes when you could buy a 12-month pair for 10 dollars more?
