Very good shoes, but not quite as snug as their LACE counterparts (I have both). I suggest sizing the zips 1/2 size smaller than the Hooker lace, if you own the lace first. I also notice the zipper begins to open up after a short while wearing the shoe, which is more a nuisance than a big problem. The zip makes the shoe much easier to enter/exit than a comparably sized slipper. Overall, a great bouldering/short duration shoe. Oh, and the heel-cup is a little too deep for someone with a semi-flat foot.

Very good shoe (though, I am coming from a pair of Mythos that may be 1/2 size too large), for this amount and more. As I said, my previous shoe (and not relegated to long multi-pitch climbs) was the Mythos, but I don't believe I sized them properly. The Hookers are sized close to my street shoe (13 Hooker to a 13-13.5 street) and make a great snug, slightly curled, but not painful fit. The rubber of the toe DOES give and form to the foot. As stated, soft rubber, wear, etc., etc..., but the shape of the toe is very good for hooking into pockets and "grabbing" features with the foot. The Heel is fairly deep and rubs my achillies slightly, but my heel is pretty straight, too. Overall, I am pleased with the Hookers and am looking for another Madrock shoe for quick in/out bouldering, etc (probably going with the Flash). Bottom line...very good shoe, great price.

Very smooth, very supple, nice, tight weave. I just bought this rope as my first rope this past month and got to use it last weekend. I have an Omega SBG ATC that generates MASSIVE amounts of natural friction, to the point where it's a strain to feed rope when belaying after a while. Well, my 10.5mm Altea feeds nicely through the Omega, which was a concern of mine. The rope is rated 9 falls, though I haven't taken one on it YET, so I can't speak for durability just yet. For the $$, this rope seems like a good buy, for a first rope and maybe an extra.

I have VERY odd shaped feet (flat right foot and also broke 3 metatarsals in same foot on HUGE boulder fall) and these shoes are perfect for fitment. I bought a pair of Boreal Ace in size 46 and they hurt like hell on my rt foot, so I sold them and found these. The Mythos, being unlined, stretches like play-do and the lace system is awesome and VERY adjustable, including having the lace run along the holes so it sungs the shoe in more where you want it, and around the heel. The lack of mid-foot support means you really have to have good calf strength for edges and there's no "downturn" to speak of. I give the "friction" of the shoe about a 3.5 out of 5, the fit/adjustability a 5 out of 5 and finsh a 4. As noted by a previous reviewer, cracks can get slightly painfull. The shoe is very comfortable for long climbs, but can be laced to really tighten up if you want it. I will probably keep these shoes, but get another pair for more "high performance" efforts when the time comes.
