I have the Crampomatic version and have days at a time in them (sans sleeping) with zero complaints. Currently I use them with my old Koflachs with no concern they'll fall off. No problems with the toe bail and little issue with balling under foot, but bot plates would be nice.

My favorite screw next to the Grivel 360…racks well, places well and cleans well. Starting the screw even in bullet hard water ice is no problem. Usually can find them on sale even at your local gear shop.

Good Screw, used to be the back bone of my rack until the coffee grinders came out. Have the old style and the new style and although the teeth have been bottomed on rock a couple of times the teeth file fairly well. Keep them lubricated after each use with some lite oil, I have had problems with the nickel plating coming off.

Never thought much of this product until this past winter, I had heard all the stories about difficulty in racking and such but the 2 units that I bought this past winter I racked independently on a BD clipper. The definitely rack in a very peculiar way and you have to pay attention to this, I actually practiced this before ever setting out with them. As far as placing and cleaning they are equal to if not better than BD’s best screw. Especially since they require very little ice prep to get them started.

These screws are fairly decent for their price in comparison to Grivel & BD's. The just don't operate as smoothly as the others especially in hard ice.
