I was looking for a softshell wind and water resitant pant for use Ice climbing in the winter and alpine rock climbing at altitude during the summer. For the price you just can't beat these, very stripped down with the features you need and none of the extra crap that you don't. so far they have been worn for a total of 22 miles of dogwalking in the city from temps 12-30 deg. and on one ice climbing daytrip around 15-18 deg with only a Patagonia silkweight capalene underneith. they breath really well, but i will be adding a midweight layer under them for prolonged conditions less than 15 deg. i think they will be perfect at 40 deg. and above without any underlayer but this is yet to be seen. If they blocked just a touch more wind they would rate a 5.

these are a great screw and a huge bargain. they start and wind in as easy as anything else on the market at nearly half the price.

fired in quick and easy, hanger design clears bulges better than bd/op hanger. hanger/grinder was easy to grip with tight schoeler gloves, but would be hard with less dexterous gloves.

A very nice ice glove, kept me perfectly comfortable all day in temps from 15-35F, very good tool feel, easy to handle screws, knots and clipping. resited water exceptionally well. highly recomended for ice cragging in medium temps. i would bring some insulated belay mittens for longer outings to belay and approach in. worked well leashed and leashles.

i've never sunk these in natural rock, but have equiped the side of my 3 story brick house with 18 of them for rescue, aid and ropped access practice. with the HIT adhesive they are totally bomber and i've pulled 2,000lbs's on a couple of them using a Com-10 anchor pull out tester.
