Great shoe for a beginning shoe. I don't have anything to compare it too but I have been climbing quite a bit in it for about 4 months (4 times a week or so for a couple hours at a time). The rubbers very sticky and seems to smear well. I've read reviews from people who say they wouldn't want to climb anything over 5.10 in these but they are definitely capable of more. I climb primarily outdoors on sandstone with the occasional trip to Joshua Tree and given my not so great footwork...these have held up quite well...
