I've basically retired all my other ropes because this one does it all. After two years of use at least once a week the rope is still clean and looks almost new. I found my first serious ding last weekend, but the rope has probably got at least another year. Bought it as an alpine rope, but I'm now considering the Mammut Serenity purely because of the approaches. After two years there are no twisting and kinking problems, but I flake a lot. It works in a Gri-gri just fine, has held up on topropes where I shouldn't have been using it and repels snow and dirt. I have noticed some black hands, but just assumed it was dirt. On my Silent Partner it feeds up the rock better than a larger rope, but is a little scary on the falls. Sometimes I wish it was 70m. It's still the best rope I've ever had.
