It is a vertical ice machine. The head weight is right, the shaft angle is right and they hook really well.
I have climbed on black profets, X-15s, pulsars, quasars, quarks, Ergo's, Cobra's (both old and new), and vipers. These are the best of breed for steep ice. They are so good, I put detachable leashes on them.
