The line BD use for the Gemini is "this is the optimal climber's headlamp. I don't see the optimal part. Yes, it is a good headlamp. It provides reasonably lighting in halogen mode, but I find it a bit dissapointing in LED mode compared to its competitors. The Gemini has been on the market for a good couple of years and it has stayed there because it was a very good headlamp, but I think its past its prime. There a great many newer and better options out there. But, if you find it on sale for really cheap, go for it. It has good battery life, is robust & waterproof so it won't die on you and hey, how many people out there reccomend it? They can't all be wrong.

Takes a couple of minutes to get the suspension system just right and after that its so snug and comfortable you forget about it. It might not be lightest helmet on the market, but its the only one I want. The Ecrin Roc also has great ventilation so isn't hot like other brainbuckets can be.

Surprisingly very light. Other than that, nothing special here. Good stock standard HMS biner. As with all Faders products: No thrills qaulity for substantially cheaper than the competition.

These were the first draws I bought and since bought various other brands. These measure up in quality and performance even though they were substancially cheaper. These are very light, yet are still rated to 25kN. Unless the price goes up, Always a good buy.

Cheap as chips! Very good product for the price. The biners are a bit bigger than most. These are budget price quickdraws, but not budget quality. They are a bit heavy compared to the top of the range ones, but are aimed more at the beginner or intermediate climber. I bought the solid gate version. The gate has a resonably smooth actionand is stiff enough that gate flutter is not really an issue. If you need a couple of draws but don't want to crack open the piggybank these are for you. Perfect for pennypinchers like me.
