perfect for belay device. also good for large eye-bolt anchors that won't accomodate regular biners. always nice to have a small but beefy locker around

neat to rappel with, but i see no benefit for this over an ATC or plate.

so basic, so easy to use. no fancy parts or angles or anything. tried and true, i see no reason to use any other device, except maybe a gri gri at times

don't let the rating i gave it fool you, it is a great beginner device. the jaws really help to cinch down that line. i always turned it around when i rappelled so the jaws didn't bite as i was going down. now that i've been climbing awhile, it stays home though.

i love it:
works great for jugging lines
is the best top rope baley device out there
lead belaying is not so bad
can be used to solo in a pinch
scary=trying to rappel with one... yikes!
