I see your just going out for another walk in the park.
I managed to miss the buttress/arete by inches which was lucky for me. The rope wasn't between my legs so 10pts to shakylegs and yes I should have been wearing a helmet. There was video footage taken of the fall that just has to be seen. Any ideas?????
I was pretty much upright by the time I passed the arete. I've already spun 180 degrees and spin another 180 before the wall.
I voted 2 too, one for each jug.
I was waiting to climb this classic route when seconds after this photo was taken, the climber fell off. His belayer who was also taking the photo dropped him into the water. We hauled his wet ass out of the drink just as the SES and water police arrived. Some dude on a yacht had seen it through his binoculars and called 911. It made the papers and now it's made it to rockclimbing.com
I'd still climb on them today. I might have to make myself a set.
About 5.12a.
The skipper of the yacht was American so he dialled 911 and if you do dial 911 in Australia, it diverts to 000. Makes sense doesn't it. So the emergency number is much the same same but different.
Check out the photo "Hands after a 35 foot whipper". Now that looks painful.
Did you blast up Clip or Die beside it. Another great climb too.
Another landscape photo to hit rc.com but this one is making it to my desktop too. Awesome photo.
I'll be there next year...
My guess is the rope is hidden behind the crack and then running down to her harness behind her arm. Old school.
Shallow water soloing, personally I'd prefer deep water soloing. Nice pic.
and another 10
Is that a superman t-shirt??????
What a place to sit back and watch the world go by, I've sat in the same spot. I need to go back.
I would think twice about climbing with Thomas if he believes the rope is behind his leg.
I see your just going out for another walk in the park.
