glad you guys like the shot, in response to everyone - probably not a v5 but thats what the map says, who am i to argue? The spotters still claim they were "going to slow him down" if he fell (three dead bodies to hide instead of one), a XXL and a regular pad is nice but when you are that high... It took a lot of "encouragement" to get someone on this problem, but topping out on this made him feel better than any thing else he sent all week.

cryder - not a super long lens around 200mm and cropped just a little bit. I do love the light that comes from this whole section of gorge being out of direct sun, giving tons of great diffuse light everywhere.

I'm glad to see that people like the shot, and I appreciate everyone's comments.

I swear the pads are big, they are just hard to see.

flashsixteen - to get off you simply down climb the backside, which is easy because it slopes uphill just out of the frame and the top of blackmagic drops down to be pretty shor on the backside

The great mountins in the background do add the the asthetic quality of the shot, giving a great background to the cool face of the problem.

addiroids - I think some of the encouragment was in the form of food, my friend and i had been discussing having me cook for jake and the 3 that he was camping with, and my cooking is way better than a box of raisins.

holdplease2 - sometimes it takes a little external motivation and encouragement to get someone who can send to just suck it up and send. that and i carred my camera(heavy kit) all the way out there for that so someone had to get on it.
