The "steps" that you see in the photo are actually retaining walls to crate terraces for planting. I remember them being between 8'-10' each. They did have steps...a lot of them! But, you can't really see them in this photo. To get to where I was for this shot, there were some steps and a whole lot of scrambeling.

O.k. explain the ropes. I see two from up top and what appears to be a line from the belayer/ bystander. What gives? Nice shot by the way!

I guess so! I use the terms as synonyms. I never looked at the difference of scale dictating the term. Just material and sort of amature vs. professional.
