What a shame to ruin a beautiful gear lead with bolts. Hey, if your girlfriend or anyone else can't lead gear, put them on the 20,000 other sport routes in the US. There's plenty to go around, so why the hell would you bolt a crack? What a shame.

Looks like somebody was too scared to lead it on gear. It should have been left for a braver/stronger climber.

Good job on the send, but "escaped being climbed until now."?? Ha, ha. I seriously doubt that the totally splitter roof crack has not been climbed despite being walked by dozens of times every weekend.

Those things are fine. I rap off single ones without a problem. Just don't take a lead fall on to them and there is nothing to worry about.
