Though the whole concept you have going there of partners sharing a first name before they get married, and then sharing a last name after they get married makes some sort of sense.

That appears to be a building under construction; the blue (green on my monitor) is netting covering the bamboo scaffolding. It was very cool to see the ultra-modern bank tower half-covered in bamboo for renovation when I was there.

Perhaps putting it on the front page reflects the new owners' focus on re-making the site to be "friendly, treat people, including women, with respect": they certainly look friendly, and Nic appears to be treating Natalie with respect.

Maybe it's even a litmus test and those who comment in an unfriendly way will be summarily banned :)
