We were met by about five of these cool creatures at the top of "The Scene is Clean." This guy stood above me no less than two feet away and watched as I belayed up the second. I'm quite sure I could smell his breath.

This guy followed us up to the first belay ledge on Outer Space, and hung out with me while I belayed Morgan up P1.

Leavenworth has a solid variety of granite to boulder on. The rock gods smile on the cascades, they also smile on Joyee Lau as she sends up the thin stuff. Photo Credit: 387 productions

Ross giving me his approval after i lead a full 60m pitch with only 2 cams for pro in the middle of the pitch, both cams were connected via cord and had a screamer....this was a 5.6/5.6 choss pile, we were attempting a link up to R&D to avoid 2 parties of newb whom were taking there sweet time....that big red truck in the back ground is my big massive toyota 4runner on 35s...pic by myself

This problem is really cool, with a variety of types of holds and moves, from slopers to underclings pinches to crimps and a rock-over mantel over a bit of pit (hence the name of the problem?) The landing is not great but if you are careful, you should be able to avoid landing on the boulders surrounding your pad... Here is Dave doing some laps on it

This dyno wasn't in the guidebook but is undoubtedly obvious; starts low on a flake up to a sloper. Paul came close to sticking it. Photographer: Andrew Cheung

Brian launching and locking, with full extension. Interestingly enough, the mantle was the crux.

After hiking out of the Enchantment Range, no reason just to head right to the airport when there's crack to be climbed across the street!! What an excellent short crack, even though it delayed celebratory beers from a great week of climbing in the Pacific NW . . . photo taken by Bob B.

Craig Miller on his first ever rappel at Barney's Rubble in Leavenworth, WA on 5/28/05. The day was hot, but the evening hours were very comfortable for climbing, and start very early in the day, considering the prominent hills and mountains all surrounding Icicle Canyon.
