One of hammond pond's best, and one of the only ones really worth sitting down for.

Relatively easy climb. Took us a few tries to figure it out. There is an even better crack problem next to this one. Some tough moves early with great holds for the top out. I'm sure many have climbed this one.

Sean looking to throw a left at the crux of Hammond Pond's "3 move ball problem." A fun, albeit contrived, classic problem in the Boston area.

Do we have the next superstar climber or the next Prana model. It's hard to tell at that age, but you got to admit she looks damn good. Pretty soon I will have to be beating the climbing boys away with a stick (a very big stick).

Magnus eyeing the top of the right hand wall wall at the Hammond Pond Alcove before topping out. The picture was taken with a disposable camera, hence the unfortunate graininess.

Look out, here I come! Been doing some bouldering lately. Apparently I don't know when to stop for the night!

Cracklover took this one of me being spotted by my usual climbing partner. It was a nice night of climbing at HP as usual. Pretty crowded, but a good crowd.

Meaghan climbing the powerful section of Breakfast of Champions. The rock at Hammond Pond is a unique puddingstone that consists of cobbles cemented in a matrix.

11 year old Sheri on her first outdoor climb of the year. She easily made her way up the tiny features to the top. Tiny hands help!

This is a view of the main (and most popular) climbing wall at Hammond Pond. It is puddingstone, an unsual rock to climb, with lots of little features for your hands and feet. There are some very fun cracks as well. This is a great place to take newbies and practice your gear placements. Even if you screw up your placements, the climbs are moderate and the landings really nice.

Now, if only we could get the beginning! This one is pretty hardcore. Look for it West of the Alcove.

Somehow we conned Dick into watching our 4 month old while we dashed out to Hammond Pond for a quick sesh. He's actually a pretty good babysitter, as long as you keep him amply supplied with Old English 800.

This climb is on the main rock at Hammond Pond, Ma. This cute kid was getting instruction as he fearlessly climbs this crimpy face climb -- wish I started this young...
