Nice afternoon climb. See route description for Diablo Diamante - South East Passage. Long pants, long sleeve shirt recommended for the "meat grinder" final pitch!

The tower located on the valley floor of the main area of Christmas Tree Pass. Other short sport or mixed gear routes are on the boulders that lay at the tower's base.

This is a reposted composite of 2 USGS 7.5 minute series Topos. Hopefully, the resolution is better than my first attempt of two years ago. Feel free to email me if you want a high resolution copy. Andy Solow

Very cool line on this wild looking boulder. I used a small cam to protect moves to the first bolt.

Kole styled the route ground up; super rock and great location make this an awesome squeeze. Next to it was a scary looking 12" crack to OW roof. Looking for takers. Kole took on olympus digital 022806.

An awesome route up a steep dike made this a fine objective for this trip. We finished this line in two days. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 021106.

The day was very windy and that made the cold really bite. Still, they looked like they were having fun. The first ascent was a sight to behold. The route continue up and left on the steeper dike. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 021206.

We had fun going up this line. We found a line of bolts on the slab next to the crack we intended to climb. After that, we just headed up weaknesses and wide stuff to the top. Great day.

We saw a crack system going up and we also found a bolted slab to start. Nice rock and interesting moves make this a fun outing. Not bad for blind luck, we walked up and found a 600' face. No idea if it had been done before. We found no anchors at all on top. Fun day. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 011306.

I thought it was going to be easier, the angle was deceptive and the rock was very grainy. Still, it was an awesome crack. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 011106.

We never found anchors but we did find a walk-off on the SE side. David is on the south side of the saddle. Sonso45 took on olympus digital 011306.

A great route, a bit of loose stone that nearly bit my belayer. But very fun and steep. We enjoyed it immensely. Sonso45 took on 011206 on olympus digital.

There were two routes on this sucker the last time I was there in 1979 or 1980. The old Rawl contraction anchors should be replaced. Andy Solow, San Francisco, CA

Andrew Solow leading the 4th pitch. We kicked off the nasty looking one directly below the climber in the photo during the first ascent in 1977. It fell about 100 feet and sheared off the day pack we had left attached to the belay bolts at the top of the third pitch liquifying everything inside. Good thing I didn't fall when I was leading this particular part of the climb.
