Looking down on the approach

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Looking down on the approach

the approach was the ridgeline shown in the upper right in this photo. we found a four-wheeler trail ascending to the south just below the rocky ridge line. we should have taken it. instead we had to bushwhack through quite a bit of scrub oak to stay close to the ridge. if you start at the rock quarry road at the bottom, all climbing eventually leads to a common ridge

The 5.7 traverse across the South Face - very exposed

Average Rating = 0.00/5 The 5.7 traverse across the South Face - very exposed

Summer 2011 -- there is a wire nut wedged real good for the first anchor on the traverse. Also, we setup a belay about 40 feet up on a small outcropping -- on second thought we could have gone another 90 feet or so to a better anchor/belay spot

London Spire on Right

Average Rating = 0.00/5 London Spire on Right

London Spire is on the right. We found the best place to start the hike up is by driving up a paved road just north of 655 South that leads to a rock quarry. You can park just below the gate and walk up to the dirt road that heads south. we started our hike up right where the dirt road turns south and stayed close to the ridge.
