Sending Superflussig at Hawk's Nest, WVSending the excellent but short problem "Superflussig" at Hawk's Nest Dam, WV near the New River Gorge. It rained pretty hard the night before but some of the boulders were sorta dry. This is a short 2 move problem on one of the dryer boulders with a long surge or dyno to a sloping lip, then a hard match and an easier topout.

Hawks Nest Going for the TopoutNice little boulder at Hawks Next in Fayetteville, West Virginia. The topout on this problem was really fun - a flat ledge, high feet, mantle-kinda deal.

Me on one of my first bouldering tripsMy buddy at school invited me to go bouldering at Hawks nest. I'm not sure what climb it was that i was on when the pic was taken. I'm told it was a v2 or v3. Not the best of pics, but it was one of my best memories bouldering. loved it.

Some boulder problem at Hawk's NestFirst time bouldering outside of the gym. It was fun! We had so much trouble reading the topo's that we couldn't figure out which route was which, so we just bouldered on the ones that looked cool.

haynes climbing jaws.one of the few problems that were not underwater that day. two gates open on the damn makes for some wet conditions. we all had a great day anyway. nice to be back home.

george...don't fall, you'll be all wet.george climbs a variation on the jaws boulder at hawk's nest. jay's spot insures that george won't fall between the two boulders at the problem's base. if that were to happen george would be going for a little swim.

whoa...guys...i didn't really want a spot.so chris climbed the white eyebrow like...83 times that day (which is not even a record!). needless to say, everyone's arms were really tired from spotting so much. this, by the way, is not how we typically spot in fayetteville.
