An excellent problem in Salt Spring's Burgoyne Boulderfield. 99% of this area is complete conglomerate choss, but it offers plenty to do for anyone with a little vision and adventure.

Burgoyne Boulders. It was fully pouring by the time the loose cobbles were pulled off and this fine short overhang was climbed. Last one of the trip.

Snowing on Mt. Maxwell in December. We were definitely pushing our luck and, unfortunately, our luck was put the test.

A recently bolted 2 pitch route on Salt Spring Island, BIO (Buns in the Ovens), 5.10a, sits well above Samsun Narrows in Mt. Maxwell Provincial Park. This photo is of Peter Mede finishing the 5.9 crux section of the second pitch on a perfect summers day.
