A couple of visitors on the belay ledge between pitch 1 and 2. No zoom lens here. The first sheep walked within 1 metre of the belayer, stepping on the rope on the way. Good thing the hooves are soft.

The view from Morro Bluffs. The yellowhead Hwy crossing the Athabasca river can be seen. In the bottom right are the training slabs (some do rap right into the river). Cloudy day, and I must learn the names of those peaks.

My 1 st lead climb. Taken by Shaun. The route is on Morrow bluffs in Jasper National park. I will mention that I'm being lowered and am not top roping. Thanks to Shaun for the photo and for sharing the esential knowledge on how not to kill myself on the mountain.

Morro Slabs, standing on a big ledge where you can set up top ropes, shooting north to where you can learn to lead.
