Nice day on the approach to the Aguglia di Goloritze. Excellent climbing weather in early April.

The most beautiful place I ever seen...(and climbed)

9am...we just left our boat and the dolphins behind us and are ready to climb up the Aguglia Goloritze. To be alone there is a foretaste of paradise

Val and me on our way up to the top of the Aguglia. Four or five pitches (< 6c+) of extraordinary limestone climbing.

Me as the third of the team, on this huge needle over the sea (450ft, 5 pitches). We made it in 5 hours, a mix of two routes, 5.10c-5.11a. I don't laughter at all, I'm done, exhausted, and just want to be back on the beach... Slide by Günther Merx, then printed on paper and scanned.

I took this shot on the approach trail to l'Aguglia. The tower sits on the actual coast with the beach below.

The summit of l'Aguglia is big enough for 2 or maybe 3 people. You have a direct view straight down of the tourists on the beach below. Spectacular tower!

This is the second pitch, the crux pitch. It is listed at 11a but is only 10d. And you can easily A0 the move. Very well protected. I say fall trying to pull the over hang. Its fun.
