A long time ago hermits used to climb up to these large huecos/caves and live in them. Sounds like fun to me.

This is Ypsilotera, one of the highest rocks in Meteora. The direct line is Danai route.

A snapshot of the great climbing area in Greece, Metera. This is right by the towns of Kalambaka and Kastraki. I went and climbed there this past autumn. The rock is conglomerate.

easter time 2002 we spent it at metewra holy rocks behind us is the monastery of "metamorfoshs" people used to build monasteries on the rocks to prevent their enemies...
