Newbie soaks up the warmth of Victoria's lingering twilight hours on this unknown (at least to us!) boulder problem.

...isn't as easy as it looks! Hasn't anybody invented climbing gloves yet?!?! :-)

....one of these rocks will roll over onto me.... and that'll teach me to pretend I can boulder....

....may climb the one at Arapiles, but only I am THE Official Kachoong Ascentionist.... ;-)

Having gone past the "You'd better not fall from there" line, Kachoong negotiates the last high step on the arete of this 20ft Arapiles boulder.

Kachoong decides, for the fifth time in one day, that bouldering is indeed not for him.

Sorry to have forgotten this route. Wanted to post it anyway as it doesn't look too bad, the rock is solid.

Although the sun was setting early due to winter.... it still turned on some amazing colours.

This is a 'modified'pair of shoes i saw on a climber whil at arapilies.... it didnt seem to affect the guys performance at all.
