Nathan Coming out of the crevasse

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Nathan Coming out of the crevasse

Not the best picture, but it was a bit tough to manage the rope, the wind howling around me, have Nathan be calm and take the picture at the same time.

I've never felt so free

Average Rating = 0.00/5 I've never felt so free

After trekking for 2 days to make base camp then two hours up to the glacier, then hours of crevasse ice climbing, it was just nice to swing my ice axes about and enjoy the Patagonian sun.

Cerro Escudo and Fortaleza

Average Rating = 3.20/5 Cerro Escudo and Fortaleza

The largest granite walls located in Valle del Silencio behind the towers of Paine. Cerro Escudo is the giant on the right, Fortaleza on the left, and you can just see El Tridente on the right edge of the photo. Many long routes (Grade VI and VII) go up all of the peaks.

Los Cuernos

Average Rating = 3.17/5 Los Cuernos

Los Cuernos as seen from the trail between Refugio Cuernos and Refugio Chileno. I have decided it is very difficult to be unhappy with a different big wall every direction I looked. Check out www.wyoprints.com for a trip report. (it is not up yet but will be very soon)

Every morning waking up and going to breakfast in Refugio Cuernos was a blessing as I got to sit, drink coffee and watch the sunrise on Cuerno Principal. Life was rough.

Sea Kayaking Patagonia - Rio Serrano

Average Rating = 3.75/5 Sea Kayaking Patagonia - Rio Serrano

This is taken at the foot of the Serrano glacier at the end of a spectacular three day sea kayaking trip my wife and I took with Bigfoot Expeditions out of Puerto Natales. Spendy, but highly recomended! Not sure if it's art, but it's not climbing either.

Los Cuernos! A picture perfect day in Patagonia!

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Los Cuernos! A picture perfect day in Patagonia!

Fall in Southern Chile makes for great photos. This is a section of the "W" backpacking route that circumnavigates the Cuernos seen here. This section is a boggy pass that now has a series of these cute trussels.

Gray Lake/Glacier and Me

Average Rating = 4.13/5 Gray Lake/Glacier and Me

Here I stand looking out at Grey Lake and Grey Glacier. That day consisted of a 18 mile hike through the mountains of Patagonia, but the views and our campsite (right on the water) were worth every painful step. The photographer was my partner Andrew.

BURT BRONSON: THE LAST BASTION OF THE SERIOUS CLIMBER

Average Rating = 3.88/5 BURT BRONSON: THE LAST BASTION OF THE SERIOUS CLIMBER

HI EVERYONE. BURT BRONSON HERE. THIS IS ME, BURT BRONSON, AFTER GETTING DOWN FROM A SERIOUS ONE DAY WINTER SOLO OF THE PATAGONIA TRAVERSE. (FOR THOSE OF YOU NOT SERIOUS ENOUGH TO BE IN THE KNOW, THESE ARE: THE NORTH TOWER [VIA THE MONZINO], THE CENTRAL TOWER [VIA THE BONINGTON-WHILLANS], AND THE SOUTH TOWER [VIA THE ASTI ROUTEZENITH]). I PERSONALLY THOUGHT THE HARDEST CLIMBING WAS 5.6ISH AND WOULD LIKE TO NOTE MY TOTAL TIME FROM CAMPAMENTO JAPANESE TO CAMPAMENTO JAPANESE WAS 5 HOURS 24 MINUTES AND 54 SECONDS. A PRETTY GOOD TIME, BUT I THINK WITH A LITTLE MORE SERIOUS TRAINING I CAN BEST IT BY AT LEAST 2 HOURS. ANYWAY, I AM THE LAST BASTION OF THE SERIOUS CLIMBER AS MOST OF YOU ALREADY KNOW. I HAVE MADE MANY SERIOUS ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO THE MAN SPORT OF CLIMBING. I AM ONE OF THE RARE BREED. I AM ONE OF THE FEW, THE PROUD, THE SERIOUS. I AM MAN AND I BRING SERIOUSNESS TO ALL MANKIND. I AM PUSHING FOR A MOVEMENT TO RID OUR SPORT OF THE INFLUENCE OF WOMEN AND GIRLY BOYS. I BELIEVE A WOMANS PLACE IS IN THE HOME. ROCK CLIMBING IS MAN-WORK. SEWING AND COOKING AND PLEASURING THE MAN IS WOMAN-WORK. THIS DE-JOHN WAYNE-ESQNESS THAT IS TAKING HOLD IN CLIMBING IS CREATING AN OVER BOLTING OF ROCK, OVER STICKERING OF CARS, AND OVER SEWING OF SYNTHETIC 'SPORTS' WEAR. MEN, WE NEED TO PULL TOGETHER AND BUILD A COALITION. A COALITION OF THE WILLING TO SUPRESS THESE PEOPLE FROM OUR SERIOUS MAN SPORT OF CLIMBING. PLEASE PM ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFORMATION OF THIS MOVEMENT THAT IS TAKING HOLD ACROSS THE MORE SERIOUS CRAGS OF THE WORLD. BURT BRONSON THE LAST BASTION OF THE SERIOUS CLIMBER

Brotherly love under the towers

Average Rating = 0.00/5 Brotherly love under the towers

I'm the one in the head-lock. My brother and I could see the towers as we ascended from the lower trail. The clouds came through and blocked our view of the tops of the spires. Next time I go to Chile, I'm climbing these towers!
