Not the best picture, but it was a bit tough to manage the rope, the wind howling around me, have Nathan be calm and take the picture at the same time.

After trekking for 2 days to make base camp then two hours up to the glacier, then hours of crevasse ice climbing, it was just nice to swing my ice axes about and enjoy the Patagonian sun.

Amazing sunsets were common almost every night and amazing sunrises every moring in Torres del Paine. I took this shot from the porch of Refugio Chileno in Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine, Patagonia, Chile.

The largest granite walls located in Valle del Silencio behind the towers of Paine. Cerro Escudo is the giant on the right, Fortaleza on the left, and you can just see El Tridente on the right edge of the photo. Many long routes (Grade VI and VII) go up all of the peaks.

The Shark's Fin as seen from just above Campomento Brittanico. The route goes up for 11 pitches on the backside of the arete. It starts at the terminus of the scree field and beelines straight to the top.

Every morning waking up and going to breakfast in Refugio Cuernos was a blessing as I got to sit, drink coffee and watch the sunrise on Cuerno Principal. Life was rough.

This is taken at the foot of the Serrano glacier at the end of a spectacular three day sea kayaking trip my wife and I took with Bigfoot Expeditions out of Puerto Natales. Spendy, but highly recomended! Not sure if it's art, but it's not climbing either.

Its been a year since we went but I still can't stop looking at these pictures. What a beautiful place. Andrew (Tweek) just went back to Chile but we won't get to explore SA this year...we're going to New Zealand instead! Whoo hoo.

Fall in Southern Chile makes for great photos. This is a section of the "W" backpacking route that circumnavigates the Cuernos seen here. This section is a boggy pass that now has a series of these cute trussels.

Here I stand looking out at Grey Lake and Grey Glacier. That day consisted of a 18 mile hike through the mountains of Patagonia, but the views and our campsite (right on the water) were worth every painful step. The photographer was my partner Andrew.

Taken our first day in Torres del Paine, Patagonia, the moon decided to rise right between the Cuernos making for an amazing view.

I'm the one in the head-lock. My brother and I could see the towers as we ascended from the lower trail. The clouds came through and blocked our view of the tops of the spires. Next time I go to Chile, I'm climbing these towers!
