Fabio Pe -2002

Average Rating = 3.25/5 Fabio Pe -2002

A better diagram of the Fabio Pe route done by Fred Almeida. The agua represents a natural spring mid way through the first day which is great.

BJ below the saint

Average Rating = 2.00/5 BJ below the saint

Me on one of my first leads. Pedra Santa is looming above, and I am wondering why the next bolt is so far away.

No turning back now

Average Rating = 3.50/5 No turning back now

Amazing view of the Frade pinnacle as you come out on the ridgeline. A little bit further on, and you are praying that the chicken wire cable holds, and that dirty hold your foot is in can sustain your weight for a few more seconds.

Now you see the path...

Average Rating = 3.00/5 Now you see the path...

Schematic of the route conquered by Frederico Almeida and Danielle. The route is named after the late Fabio Pe. A classic route with a natural spring in the middle! it is hard to beat that!

Pedra Santa

Average Rating = 2.00/5 Pedra Santa

Looking up at Pedra Santa from the highway. The Santa (Saint) is the extruding rock which appears to be a woman holding flowers from the front. Only those who climb the route ever see the real Saint Mary.

the monster that haunts me

Average Rating = 3.67/5 the monster that haunts me

This photo shows you the massiveness of Senhor Frade. Dominating the Brazilian skyline, Frade is a unexplored rock waiting for someone to put routes up its virgin face. Fred and I are almost complete in the first ever ascent up the rock face proper. We will finish it up and move on to the tantalizing dihedral you can see in the photo. enjoy the view.
