Hatun Machay... an Oasis!! Gorgeous... like heaven... super high... need to make sure you acclimatize first... but totally worth it!! Check this place out if you head to Huaraz, Peru... go to "Andean Kingdom" on the main street.

A Spaniard guy climbing "Hatun Machay Viber", 7a+ (french grade). The sun just started to illuminate the spot where he needed to go. This is the crux of the route...especially if the sun shines into your face:) He went up and down a few times but then he sent it.

Hatun Machay lies close (1.5h by bus) from Huaraz and is probably one of the best sport climbing and bouldering places in Peru. The rocks spread for kilometres into the valley. Here you can see just a fraction...
