Our first day during a long weekend trip in September, lots of snakes at that time, very close encounters.

This secuence shows Jonathan Gibler bouldering in the neck of the turtle trying a problem invented by Faquir earlier that day, the boulder isn't harder than a V1 but its pretty good. There is another boulder that goes to the right that follows the crack for 15 ft. then tops out, that boulder doesn't make V0 but it's good for beginners.

There is so much to discover in this place, this picture is near a boulder zone called Big red, that you can see in the shadow at the right, and the picture was taken from another zone called la ola, we found a good boulder that you can see in the first picture in the left.

These rocks form the central part of peñoles beside the big rock to the left side there is some shade for camping. Peñoles is like 10k from a small town where you can buy water and some basic foods. There is some water in a mill in peñoles but if there is no wind there's no water, and you may want to add iodine to that water.

This is a photo of a small waterfall near Taylors Falls MN. It's a long exposure done with no tripod. I like it, let me know what you think.

A very nice looking rock wall. There are quite a few routs in the area and these are a lot of fun to climb. Getting used to the slickness of the walls in this area is a little difficult.

This is me climbing. I don't remember the name of the route but it is one of the routes on the Minnesota Strip that isn't closed down. This was taken a few weeks ago. It was a 5.6 through 5.9 depending on where you climbed. I've gym climbed before but outdoor climbing is the best.
