Dizzing HeightsI'm at the top of 100' P2. The little tree by the little climber is the top of 180' P1.

Kicking backTop of P2. The view is amazing! I'm feeling so organized with a gear sling and nice rope handling :-)

Mt. Shasta in the backgroundI'm starting the 5th pitch, but stop to grab a shot of Jackson with the awesome rock in the background. You can barely see Mt. Shasta on the top right.

Jackson and ShastaJackson froms the top of the 5th pitch in the saddle. This is the only pitch which required trad for the anchor. The sun had already set on us at this point...

Sunset while climbingI love climbing during sunset, and the saddle at the top of P5 offered a great sunset view. By the way, don't follow the laid back chimney in the book on P6 if you want the climb to be 5.6. It's thin on hands and difficult to protect. Just continue up the arete in front of the saddle.

Victory in the dark! We're happily on the summit at 9pm with the last bit of ambient light fading. The anchors are bomber for the rappel and drop right onto a big ledge with a tree for the 2nd rappel. You only need one 60m rope to get off this climb in two 100' raps.

Mt. HubrisMt. Hubris is on the left. This massive wall is surprisingly easy and pleasant to climb at 5.6

First view of HubrisHubris is on the lft. This is a view from the trail. Getting to the climb through Mazanitas may be the most difficult part of it.

Castle Crags, CA, from the 'Vista Point'This shot was taken from the Scenic Viewpoint at the trailhead to Castle Crags in northern California. It's actually 3 digital pics stitched together and is originally 5000px wide. If people want to see the full size version, I could maybe host it somewhere. I did my best on the stitching, but it's still a little funky. The pic clearly shows Castle Dome and Mt. Hubris. Taken January '05.

Cosmic Wall: Pitch 6Me heading out onto the final arete from the notch at the top of pitch 5. This is exposed and a little loose, but it is an awesome variation to the 5.6 chimney finish in the guides.
