This anchor is at the top of the penultimate pitch of 'Old Smokey.' Thankfully, there's a brand-new stainless anchor just below, but for some reason the ASCA felt it necessary to leave this.

You know, I am not from the West Coast. But as it is mid-November in this warm and sunny photos, quite unlike the presumable gloom back East, today I can flash my newfound regional sign. Boo-yah.

Racking up for P2, Gemini Cracks (5.8). A sweet little section of fun OW, preceded and followed by nice, easy crack climbing for the rest of the pitch.

Scaring the crap out of myself on the fabulous finger crack that is P4 of Gemini Cracks (5.8). What do you mean, there are feet on the sides of the crack? Can't you see that's SLAB?!

Easy climb but this was my first time on real rock so I am proud of this one anyway. Even got wallaby crap on my hands for the true Ausie experience.

This is a picture of my climbing friend Quang on a classic route at Arapiles called Muldoon. We climbed this route 2 hours after it stopped raining (it had rained non-stop for the previous 36 hours) so many of the holds were still very wet, or submerged, which made it even more "fun"

This is a pic of me on Plexas 16 (18m). The photo was taken last year when I was top roping it, but last night I lead it trad for the first time, and it was scary- no pro until the point I am at in the pic, then heave up over the block and climb another 5m before the next piece. There's no trick with the pic, it's as high as it looks. It seemed harder than 16, but I guess a lack of pro will do that to you.

This is the killer starting crack on Wall of the Worlds (5.10c IV). Bring extra 3/4" cams if you want to do this great crack as one long pitch.

5.9R Face pitch near the top of Wall of the Worlds. Great climbing but rarely done due to the lack of pro.

This series of pictures was taken at the end of a long hot day (37 degrees celcius) of climbing. The route was top roped, as to lead it would have been suicidal in the circumstances. Photos taken by Andy Holmes, reproduced with permission.
