December '04: Monsoons drench SoCal, causing fatal mudslides and stranding climbers near and far. 3 friends huddle in their tent, drinking and playing cards, waiting for Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun. 3 days later Sun is spotted re-emerging, allowing climbing to commence.
