I jumped on this climb and got to the crux before deciding that trying it at my level without a group of spotters and a crashpad could end my current climbing trip early. So I went to take pics of John "trying" this problem. When he sends the problem on the second attempt! No Spotter, no beta, and no crashpad. Ballsy I say!

I've fallen one too many times on this route. Next weekend it's all over. (I'm not saying when next weekend is)

I have fallen twice from the topout (25 feet) crux move is where i have my upper hand about 20 feet of the deck to an in your face mantle with a heelhook. I am 6'2 and my taller looking spotter is actually standing on a big rock and is about 6' tall. Hope that gives some height perspective. Every time i get up and start to heelhook, i think of falling 25 feet on my back.

This is Aron on Relic "V9". A very technical boulder problem near the iron door.

Follow the crack that leads up to an offwidth bulge, then up through a pod to straightforward climbing that leads to top. This is Al campusing the top moves on White Rastafarian. It was extra cold that day and this problem is super high, but we had 10 pads! I know it's not very original, but still a cool angle.

This picture makes it look so short - hardly does the top out justice...heh. note the rock in drop zone! Also, for scale, note that Steve is like 6'5" serisously.
