On the way to climb at Birdsboro I used to warm up by lifting huge pieces of concrete above my head. The cement is all gone now, as is the bridge.

The new sign at Birdsboro. And me. The line across my shirt is from the backpack strap. The ginormous pant legs are from the imperfections in the reflection on the sign. I swear.

Not sure how to start it other than climbing off the face to the left. I can finish it after that.

Top of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Bolts are on a chain around a big tree. Fun climb for a newbie Sport Lead climber. It is fairly easy but you can make it a little harder by going straight up starting on the tree roots on the bottom corner of the route.

Climber Ben is just getting past the bouldering start of the Faint. At this moment he is in mid motion making a foot switch as he glances down to check his positioning. Soon after he pushes through the slopy, crimpy, small holds to some jugs up to the rest spot. He was close to getting the redpoint and i'm sure will be back to visit soon to settle the score.

This is Jeremy lead climbing the Faint at Birdsboro. This is his project! He pushes through the pain and gets to the top but his goal is to do it clean. I am amazed with so many combinations of moves he creates as he seems to slide up the rock. The crux is at the bottom but it doesn't mean its that much easier up top. He climbs hard and doesn't give up even if he is running on fumes.

I am working my way up Orange Sunrise. I got my hand in the crack and ready to power up....little did i know what was in store for me on the arete. This was a fun and challenging route. I will definitely climb this route many times over before I am satified with my ascension. Photo taken by my friend Dan

The Delaware Crew. After a hard day at the wall, we three idiots decided to mess around on the stones.

Coming down between Sultans of Swing on Left and Dirty Swing on Right, (look for bolts near my legs). They are both very dirty and Sultans has a poison ivy Bush on top! I climbed right into it! Be careful.

A cool day in the boro. Gotta love the epoxyed holds. One more move and Travis will be at the next bolt.

Watch out for the tree on the way down. Not to mention the paintballers. One winged by us this day.

Randy on the left side of Denny at Birdsboro. A pumpy overhanging route that's a scary lead. This is the only good rest and even then it's balancy.

This is Ryan on Dirty Thing (5.8) at Birdsboro, PA. Orange Sunshine also a 5.8 is the awesome arete climb on the right, which we climbed that day as well. More of our climbing pictures can be found at Mark's website.

This section of rock at Birdsboro is an excellent area to practice lead climbing. There are two four bolt climbs here, both an easy 5.7. Both are great climbs to learn to lead because each climb is low enough for supervision from the ground and the climbs allow for both hands free while clipping.

This is "Force Meter". The crux is at the roof, there are good hand holds, but, nothing for the feet. All in all a good climb though.
